creeper?

You ever had a time when you want to do show God's love to someone but feel that if you did, people would take it the wrong way and think you're some creeper? I saw a paper route person today with a huge trolley of newspapers... I was tempted to ask if they wanted a lift but stopped myself because I know I would be perceived as a creeper. Actually, it happened several times this summer when I see an elderly walking home bogged down by like 7 bags of groceries OR someone I kind of know walking home OR an elderly carrying a small child and being bogged down by bags and bags of groceries. Note that I was in my car alone whenever I think of this; I admit, this thought would not even pass my mind. I never know how I should react to those situations, I have this natural reflex to slow down a bit as a pass by (somewhat struggling with a decision) but I always end up speeding away in my car. Sometimes I think, would it be easier to ask if I wasn't driving and I was walking past them? The corruption of this world puts 'security' and 'normal behaviour' as a barrier when it's hard enough as it is to step out of my comfort zone. I guess I'm just making excuses, maybe I should actually stop and ask one time...
So today I started Day 1 of "Seven Keys to Spiritual Renewal Workbook". Yep, you're going to see me blogging every day again.
Day 1: Seek God and Surrender to Him
Looking at Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10), this is what I got:
  • "he was driven by a deep spiritual hunger - the kind of hunger that comes when one is faced with the emptiness of life apart from God"
  • you don't have to know what you're seeking but you do have to seek wholeheartedly
  • "when he turned his heard toward Jesus, Jesus came seeking him"
I don't really understand how you can seek something wholeheartedly when you don't even know what exactly you're seeking... but I guess that's the worldly side of me speaking. We need tangible goals, to the very least we want to have a goal.
