When I ate breakfast this morning, I heard the song "You Raise Me Up" by Westlife. Really random 'cause I ate at a restauraunt in market village... wouldn't really expect a Christian song to be playing. This past week, two people told me that I shouldn't be going into business. I guess I'm more fascinated than offended. Haha apparently I'm more of a human rights activist or social worker of sort. Right now, I'm just stumped about which area I want to head into like Human Resources/ Accounting. I wish I had the time to just take a term off and figure things out. I want to be able to stay focused on one thing but I don't know what to focus on...
I feel like God is testing my faithfulness to Him, even when I’m not close to Him. When I have a lot on my plate, God places people on my heart. I remember I’ve said this before… when we’re pushed for time, that’s when it really counts. How we use our time speaks volumes. I know it’s rare to think of ‘our’ time as ‘God-entrusted’ time, if anything we might even think it’s ‘God-given’ time. There’s a difference. God-given is when we feel that God gave it to us for free, no strings attached; it’s ours and we can do whatever we want. We can idle and waste time as we please. God-entrusted time is when we feel that God gave it to us for free, for a specific purpose. Although it’s ours, we realize it is ultimately still God’s. We can idle but we won't want to waste it because it's not ours. What are the precious things in your life? Are you content with idling? I'm not saying go have something to do on every day of your calender but don't have a blank calender either. A lot of people in this world can use a helping hand (me included).
