Midterm tomorrow >< don't feel ready... and OH MY! LONGGG list of things to do for July! "Power work!" (my accounting prof always says that) and no a/c at home... it's not that bad in my opinion but my room faces west so it's SUPER hot in afternoon.
A sharing from a few years ago:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light.” - Matthew 11:28–30
These are the exact words of Jesus. It is an offer open to everyone as a shelter from all the troubles of this world. Although this offer is open to everyone, only a few know of it, even fewer accept this offer. Jesus offers shelter that is forever strong, unwavering and held together by an unconditional love.
I wish to share with you the same peace that I feel deep inside of me. A peace that can be renewed infinite times. A peace that is unmoving through the great and numerous storms in life. I have found this peace; this peace is Jesus. I take refuge in Him when I’m broken and, in Him, I am always safe. I have actually gone through a lot in my life, although I am young. All the sorrow, loneliness, and emptiness inside of me can weigh me down to the point where I lose all self-control. Even now, I get very frustrated and worn down by all the pressures around me. Sometimes its my own fault (most of the time) but things just get to you if you know what I mean...
With this scripture I wish for you to find peace also, as it has given me great comfort. This scripture brought forth the best of me and turned me away from my deepest despair. It is this very scripture that initiated my desire for baptism (to dedicate my life to Christ, to live in and for Him).
