Many thanks for the prayers sent my way for my co-op interview last week :) I definitely felt God's hand on this. During the interview they asked me to talk about one of the greatest challenges/obstacles that I overcame. I brought up my accounting marks and they were intrigued by the drastic change so they asked how it happened. Now I'd never be able to call myself a Christian if I didn't mention God. Whether I get in or not, I'll be at peace because I know He was there with me. I'm still nervous about the outcome but they seemed impressed.
It's very interesting how God has one of His pas tors invite people to full-time ministry whenever I feel very distant and discouraged. Happened again in Spring Conference. I thought I was able to dodge it though because I was suppose to lead children worship session the last morning (which is when pastors usually did that calling). Instead of the Monday morning, the pastor gave the invitation on Sunday. God is not far from me. He's reminding me that this is but a small pebble compared to serving Him in the full-time ministry. I can't seem to get the pebble out of my shoe though (metaphorically speaking). I keep thinking that I really need to get spiritual life together for the sake of other people. It's true but I no longer think it's the right mindset; it should be for my own sake. I lost my temper in Spring Conference to a close friend of mine. I must say I don't think I would've blown if I was in that situation with someone else. I'm glad we kind of made things right before she left on vacation.
My life is as hectic as ever.... I want peace and stillness. I need peace and stillness. Amazing how I encounter God when I'm focused on helping others rather than myself. I looked up a list of parks near my area because a friend of mine said she really needs silence for a bit and just get away from everything. Of course, this means I should physically visit the parks before deciding which one to take her. The stillness, the sounds, the fresh scent... I can truly breathe. Just for that hour, discovering where each pathway leads me... I felt free. I even laid down on a bench to rest for a few minutes.
