For those who don't know, there were earthquakes (largest being 8.9 in magnitude and the after shocks) and tsunami that hit Japan. The tsunamis hitting other countries like Hawaii, Taiwan, west coast of North America are mere ripples from the one that hit Japan. There will be more and more leading to the end of times... My heart aches but I can only trust that these events fulfill God's purpose and send prayers their way.
Last night, I went to visit another church again. Quite surprising to see my church counsellor from when I was a kid be a Children Pastor and still remember my name and face o_o S'all good! I also saw someone from CCF at my school, I didn't know he goes to that church so pure coincidence. Discussed about the new bill being proposed to the Senate regarding transgender rights. If you want to know my thoughts on that, I'd gladly oblige but where I stand is pretty evident.

Purpose Drive Life - Day 4: Made to Last Forever
(direct quotations in bullets)
- This life is preparation for the next. While life on earth offers many choices, eternity offers only two: heaven and hell. Your relationship to God on earth will determine your relationship to him in eternity.... Death is not your termination, but your transition into eternity, so there are eternal consequences to everything you do on earth. Every act of our lives strikes some chord that will vibrate in eternity.
- The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears. When you live in light of eternity, your values change. You use your time and money more wisely. You place a higher premium on relationships and character instead of fame or wealth or achievements or even fun. Your priorities are reordered.
- God offers an opportunity beyond your lifetime.
I'm pretty sure all of us have imagined or dreamed of our funeral, at one point or another. I always have so many wild dreams and imaginations of how I die (no, not like in action movies or sci-fi movies). Then at the funerals... for some reason, I never really see anyone cry (in my dreams) and I've wondered whether it's because the world is better off without me BUT perhaps it's just because I don't want anyone to cry. What is there to cry about? I'm still working at not holding grudges but before I die, I'm sure I would not hold anything against anyone. I try very hard to reconcile with someone right then and there as to not leave anything hanging... a lesson deeply engraved in my heart. When I die, I am merely asleep while the world continues to spiral downwards to its destruction. And even if I die, your memories of me remain with you. I want to like leave a letter for someone to read at my funeral... something along the lines of: "I pray for peace to settle in your hearts because my own heart is at peace. If you would like to call it this, my last wish is that all of you here will give God a chance. If you are deeply filled with grief or sorrow about my death, how much more do I feel if you were to die and I know that you will be suffering unimaginably, not temporarily or briefly but eternally. I've always had this thought that if it was possible, I would give my place in heaven to save someone in hell. There are some people that I would not hesitate, even for a moment, to exchange places with. I have countless experiences with God... it's so amazing, so awesome, so beautiful, so peaceful that I want someone who has never had these experiences to have that opportunity. However, this is my foolish thinking... who am I to 'save'? It's not like tv shows and movies where the mob boss sends one of his minions to take his place in prison. So please, all I ask, is to give it a try." Something like that :] A lil' morbid today? Not exceptionally... it's always on my mind. One more moment that passes brings me a moment closer to our death. Hmm.. I should actually have that in a document and have someone keep that just in case x) there's one thing that is currently unresolved and yes, I'm rather concerned about leaving it unresolved. So, if anything happens to me before April 28th, there's a card with a handful of letters on my desk for someone. You never know, right?
I have also had dreams where I died. I find myself in a quiet, white room with a marbled floor and then I lay myself down on the floor like you would on your bed.. and then I die.
ReplyDeleteObviously, this freaked me out,
"OMG!#@@#!@ AM I GONNA DIE SOON!?"
but I did some research into dream symbols and it simply means that you are being 'reborn' or 'maturing' or 'entering a new phase' in your life. The you, you see, it has died because they are no longer you. The you, you wake up to in the morning, that's the new you.
