BIG sigh

Caption for YouTube link: a friend of mine, not me wrote this song for a class.
You know how everyone thinks a teenager's time is less valuable compared to adults because we make less money (inexperience)? Don't ever think that way! Every moment is valuable regardless of the age. The time of a teen is SO valuable. I look at my parents and I don't want to grow up. They don't seem to really have any friends (hand full?), don't consider co-workers as friends either; they interact with some people at church. A very typical family life: work (including transportation time) 7am to 5/6pm then you're at home with family (dinner, a few chores, maybe an hour or so of tv or phone call with relatives then sleep time) and it starts all over again the next day. The days just blur together into one BIG BLOB called 'life'. Life is so much more than being tied down with responsibilities, obligations.... I don't know if I ever want to start my own family. I don't want to live a BIG BLOB. I do see the value in a family and the need to work for daily needs, it's just... yeah.
I feel like I'm progressively turning into that life and I pray that I don't. This was my day: got up for breakfast. Played a bit of piano. Packed my stuff, drove to school to study and attend classes. Picked up my sister from school. Fed her. Folded a load of laundry. Picked up my mom from GO station while dad was cooking. Had dinner. Folded 4 more loads of laundry. Showered. Reviewed midterm I got back today. Did some studying. Facedbook-ed and MSN-ed for a bit. Now blogging. And today is one of my 'relaxed'/ 'nothing much to do' days. Lately, I've been so frustrated with people and never really worried about failing a course 'til now. I haven't censored any thoughts out, much appreciated if you send some prayers my way. I'm working real hard to live up to the roles I have and the only thing sustaining me is God, which is more than sufficient :] but yeah, I just needed to rant a lil'. Don't you love rants that have a happy ending =P

This I pray...
be Thou my vision,
be Thou my guide,
be Thou my refuge,
be Thou my powerhouse,
be Thou my friend,
be Thou my life.

God bless...
